I’m Pregnant—and I’m HAWT!

At eight weeks, I’m at the “I feel fat” pregnancy stage.

(The 20 piece Chicken McNuggets I ate by myself didn’t help.)

It’s a miserable stage where my pants are getting too tight and I look like I just finished binging on buttery comfort foods with Paula Deen.

(Why isn’t she my mom?)

As annoying as this stage is, I live in fear of the next one.

Pregnancy is kind of like opposite land. You feel nauseous but never puke…you’re tired but sleep doesn’t help…during the 2nd month you feel fat and live in sweats…during the last few months you feel hawt and wear skin tight outfits with bizarre confidence…

Even Heidi Klum fell victim to it. The critics gave her an “A” for wearing this (and let’s hope Motherhood Maternity isn’t inspired to create some horrific copy of it). As a mom who’s watched way too many Disney Princess movies, she reminds me of Ursula.

But, hey, I’ve been there. I remember running around in tattered pajama pants and a white pre-pregnancy tank top with a good 4 inches of Buddha Belly hanging out—and feeling SEXY in it. *Shudder*

Who knows what insane outfit I’ll embarrass myself in this time. But for now, I’m content to hide in my sweats.

At least they match my wild hair, glasses, and no makeup. I’m tired, people. Fo’ realz.

Ha! She does look like Ursula! That's brilliant! I remember the feeling. Never want to be there again, but I'm happy for you!

Congratulations on the pregnancy. I feel your pain, with my third pregnancy I felt so huge (maybe that's because she was 10 lbs when she was born). Hang in there, it will be okay!

Take care!

I totally remember going through all of those phases. The last trimester, I was so huge (like, seriously) and I remember wearing regular, non-maternity clothes in one size smaller than I wore before I was pregnant. I was awesomely hawt, too!

At 22 weeks I'm just glad to find something that fits and hasn't been stained by my other 3 kids.

Oi, I've so been there, done that. What in the world was I thinking with those skin tight clothes at the end of my pregnancy? And my second pregnancy at that - when I was BIGGER!

I so remember that tiredness. In fact i don't think it ever left me.

I never felt sexy... never wore anything tight. But looking back, I so should have. The best part of that stage is getting to the front of the line for everything -- the bathroom, the restaurant wait list....

I should look like that form of Ursula, if there were some higher being.

Enjoy yourself this time around--do whatever you feel like doing!

I am just thrilled to be able to stop trying to suck in my stomach. I did the tight clothing thing with TJ though too, and I loved it. As hokey as it sounds, I think a preganant belly is art!

She looks just like Ursula...that was an accurate description. I am so happy for you! Congrats on the pregnancy...Actually I loved being preggers...It was the best time of my life...and besides I had an excuse for the extra weight. I have to admit...during one craving moment...I bought a can of Eagle Brand Milk...opened it in the parking lot of Winn-Dixie with a coke bottle opener...and drank about half of the thick sweet, gross stuff...then threw up in the parking lot for 30 minutes. I don't like Eagle Brand Milk to this day...and my daughter will be 30 soon. LOL! Enjoy and have fun! Keep us up to date on the event.

omg, you're right, she does look like Ursula. I'll never look at the Little Mermaid the same again.

Dood I feel you... And yes, Hedi is totally channeling the sea witch in that dress lol... Tonight I attempted to wear a pre-pregnancy dress (empire waistline thankfully) and I think the 31 week baby bump and the overly enthusiastic size 38 E boobs made it quite risque (can we say "Who wears short short" lol)...

Oh my gawd. I'm 7 weeks, and I have not left my house in like four days. Ugh. If I looked like Heidi Klum, maybe I would have gone out.
