Pregnancy Week 34 - Wow! I feel much better!

I dropped by Dr. Loompa's office on Friday and caught him in the hallway before his lunch break. I walked right up to him, chattering 4 year old in tow, and said, "Hi! I don't have an appointment! Anyway, I'm feeling a lot of movement down really low and it's freaking me out."

And? Dr. Loompa smiled and said, "Come back. I'll check you."

I was expecting eye rolls and sighs, so I have to say Dr. Loompa made me feel all warm and fuzzy about him again.
So. The baby is hanging out very low, and when I described the creepy movements I was feeling Dr. Loompa put his little hand on top of his little gray head and said, "You probably feel scratching. Baby's hand up here, reaching and scratching you."

Ewww! So the baby is just hanging out, upside down, reaching toward the light?!? GROSS!

I'm not in labor, I'm not dilated, I'm not...anything. I'm just a pregnant gal carrying way low.

The good news is that something changed over the weekend, and I'M NOT IN PAIN! I don't know if the baby moved lower and took some pressure off a bad area or what, but I'm doing so much better! I can walk! I can move around the house! I have a life again!

I also feel a little...deflated. The top of my preggers belly is starting to resemble Elizabeth's limp Valentine's Day balloon that she refuses to give up and let me trash. I could care less, though, because my heart burn has disappeared and I can hook my bras on the right row again.

1 month left!

Yeah Dr. Dumba$$! So glad he checked you at least for piece of mind. Also glad you are feeling better! That would not be good to know that things are just fine and have to just wait and have the baby before the pain is relived!

You go girl...you are in the homestretch!!

Glad things are turning around. I carried way low...not fun...weird sensations. Kat would stretch out...and it would look like my stomach was a giant full wave water bed. It made complete strangers laugh out loud.

YAY for no pain! Now try and enjoy these last few weeks!! I know how hard it is.

I said I wanted to be pregnant one last time so I could really enjoy it, but then when I was, I told everyone to remind me how much I hated it.

I do not enjoy pregnancy at all. Not one bit.

What a pleasant surprise! Keep hanging low. Eventually you'll hang out. Yay!

My 2nd was real low too. He liked to punch my cervix and scratch at it too. Would wake me up out of a dead sleep. It hurt!!!

It won't be much longer and mystery baby will arrive!

Good for you!! Those last weeks can be horrible. I'm glad you're feeling better! At least you don't have much longer to go.

I'm jealous about the disappearance of the heartburn, my baby is 7 months old and I still have it.

I am glad you got checked, though. And even more glad that you are feeling much better. Even if I am a little jealous. ;)

Hey Jaci,
You do not know me personally but I have been reading your blog for a while now. I think I may have found you through Maybe If You Just Relax. Anyway, I have been wanting to leave you a comment for some time now. I have PCOS too and reading about how you were able to work out, lose weight and ultimately get pregnant again has been such an inspiration to me. On the days when I don't feel like using the elliptical I think of you and it kinda kicks me in gear.
Thanks for sharing....

I'm so glad you are feeling better!
