At your age, I'm sure you think the 50's are WAY in the future. The problem is, unless you die, the future DOES arrive one day. I often wonder if - at age 17 - I could have seen the old version of myself, what form of suicide I'd decide on. What droops now, will hang like a broken window shade.

But, the thing that will totally ruin your life will be the saggy, hanging neck skin you cannot hide.

I had to agree with every.single.sentence you just wrote. It makes me sad. The waxing thing....I'm about to break down and do my upper lip. I'm going to be 30 this year, I weigh 40 pounds more than I did 5 years ago, and I've only had one baby. Heaven help my poor body if we go for another, how will I ever lose the weight?? It's good to know I'm not the only one out there feeling this way! Keep your chin up (or, in my case, chins up)...

I don't have cable either. Haven't had it in years. As for the kid, my son likes to bake/cook. Stressful, yes. I've been known to yell about dropped beaters and flour everywhere but after I force myself to calm down, it's actually fun. Not pretty, sometimes edible and very fun.
He also will entertain himself in his room for a good hour - with the door shut! I'm not sure how we evolved to that but I am thankful.
And he likes to help with the chores. He's six, I'm sure I'm in for a rude awakening when he turns 7.
As for the TV, with our antenna we get 20 odd stations. Movies, cartoons, cooking, music videos, home improvement, etc. We got a DVR from Walmart for Christmas so I can tape what we want to see. Prior to digital tv and the DVR, I heard a bunch of complaining from my husband but now that I can tape shows for him and the kid, it's all good.

I've been blogging for TWELVE YEARS! It started out being a new frontier and I was enjoying myself. Then I thought "What am I DOING? I'm just writing a diary! Get with the possibilities!" And I started doing advertisements at $10 per ad, three ads a month.

Then, after a big blog ruckus equal to WWI, I cried. I tried. I lost months of peace and sleep.

I had failed to please everyone.

Yesterday, I chucked it all. I locked down my old blog and am beginning anew.

And...it's a lot more fun than what I had been living with.
